Everyone wants to be heard.   No matter what type of therapy you offer – beauty, hairdressing, holistic practices such as reflexology, reiki etc or any personal care service, you will be familiar with the fact that most people like to unload their issues while relaxing and experiencing the services you offer. In some circumstances it may be difficult for you to know what to do with what they have said to you if you don’t have the appropriate skills. This workshop is about helping you to learn those appropriate skills to better serve your clients and yourself.

Did you know that it can take 2-3 years to perfect the skill of listening if you’re training to be a Professional Counsellor and Psychotherapist? Listening is a skill. It isn’t taught in school and it’s more than likely that it wasn’t taught in your therapy training either.

In this two day experiential workshop, Abby Wynne will discuss the difference between listening and therapeutic listening. There will be exercises and partner work which will se you taking turns being the client and being the therapist, so you can practice these new listening skills.

Abby works with the energy of the group and each time she teaches it is a completely different experience. Due to the nature of this workshop there will be personal issues raised, and it is important to ensure that you are looking after your mental, spiritual and emotional health at all times.   Abby creates a safe space during her workshops to do this work.

You are not here to fix or help other people in the group, and you are not here to be fixed or helped by others in the group – the purpose of the workshop is for you to gain confidence in your listening skills and your ability to hold space for your clients, and to feel empowered in knowing who to refer them to if that is necessary.   This workshop is invaluable for anyone who wants to progress their business and offer their clients the best possible experience when visiting them.

Doing your inner work is the best thing that you can do for the world.
